I love, love this quilt board...I find this the most interesting site and i have learnt soooooo...much. This board has the best folks around!!! they are willing to teach and share so many things...this group is not out to make money but to help their fellow quilter...I love this group!!! When I am feeling down or no ideas of what to make next...I come here and get plenty of ideas. Of course their are a few who are negative but whatever...the positive out weigh the negatives...I love, love the folks here...never change...please those who are here to just make money go away...I love how we all share our ideas...and not try to make money off each other.

Cyn 01-25-2011 05:41 PM

I agree with you!

sueisallaboutquilts 01-25-2011 05:42 PM

I've been off the board for a week d/t an emergency and I've been in major withdrawal!!! I love you all :D:D:D

Ladyjanedoe 01-25-2011 05:43 PM

I agree Carol and I tend to really enjoy your posts here. Kind of surprised some people have been saying it's becoming nothing more than a b*tch-fest. I don't see it. We share the good and the bad...the things that work and the things that don't. THAT is true communication.

sueisallaboutquilts 01-25-2011 05:46 PM

Wow that surprises me about the b$#ch fest comment. I find this board to be like a giant group of best friends :D:D
I agree that it's true communication !!

cinnya 01-25-2011 05:46 PM

I agree , I just wish I had more time to be here.
When I do have time I am on here for hours though, lol

hoppyfrog 01-25-2011 05:49 PM

I love this site so much I don't get nearly enought sewing done ;-)

nativetexan 01-25-2011 05:49 PM

this forum perks up my day. I need my fix!!!

Lisa_wanna_b_quilter 01-25-2011 05:53 PM

My only complaint about this board is that you don't all live in my neighborhood! I want to drop by Ditter's for my morning joke, pop over to Amma's for a a new quilting tip, run past Clem's because her face makes me smile, go by Eddie's and Chirsmah's to watch enviously as they quilt everyone's projects, etc. etc.

carolaug 01-25-2011 05:54 PM

Lisa...that was AWESOME and so true....

I totally agree!!! :-P :-P :-P

littlehud 01-25-2011 06:06 PM

That would be so much fun. What a great dream.

bj 01-25-2011 06:09 PM

Can you imagine a neighborhood with all of us in it! Talk about heaven on earth!

craftybear 01-25-2011 06:18 PM

we would all live in a big community with our big sewing club house, wouldn't that be fun!

I love all your comments! I'm a newbie who doesn't quilt YET...will start classes next month! I'm gaining so much practical advice here about colors, patterns, and tools, that I feel like I know something already! Heartfelt thanks to the thread about cleaning a black pot. I thought I destroyed my favorite saucepan by brewing up a batch of cinnamon potpourri. The house smelled great, but I forgot to add water to it. Thanks to the thread about baking soda and Cascade, my pot looks brand new!

Yesterday I bought a purse pattern that someone recommended. This is one great source of info. THANK YOU ALL!

mhansen6 01-25-2011 06:31 PM

I feel the same way you do. I look at this site every morning with my cup of coffee. I love coming here.

SuzanneG 01-25-2011 06:34 PM

I see very little negativity here myself. But this is a huge forum (compared to some others I've been on) and it's only natural there would be a few bad apples in the bunch. But the great folks here far outweigh the unpleasant ones and I'm happy every day that I found you all. :D

Or good apples having a bad day :-D :-D

CarrieAnne 01-25-2011 06:38 PM

I really dont see too much negative stuff either! Everyone has been so nice to me, and to others here!

quiltergirl80 01-25-2011 06:42 PM

wish there was a "like" button for your comment!

newquilter10 01-25-2011 06:54 PM

I, too, do not see much if any negativity here. Love this board and learn so much. When I have a question I can come here and get an answer.

running1 01-25-2011 07:11 PM

I completely agree... I want to meet everyone here!!

The apples analogy is so cute and so true I'm sure! :D

Rhonda 01-25-2011 07:22 PM

I have been on this board for almost 2 years and you will get those few who are malcontents. But fortunately the wonderful people who make up the other 95% far outweigh those few who usually end up drifting away after awhile anyway.

We concentrate on quilting and uplifting each other and that is why I am here. I love the cameraderie that exists here and it is the best place to be for a quilter!!

moonwork42029 01-25-2011 07:23 PM

The biggest problem I have with is this board is I'm going broke... I have no self control it appears. I have seen so many dang pretties and doies that I have to go get the material and make a note of what I am going to do with it.

I have never ever seen such beautiful work and beautiful hearted folks. I have seen so much help being offered when questions are raised and have seen differences of opinions...which is why everyone's quilt looks different.

The tutorials have given me insight on the hows and whys and I really appreciate the time and energy folks have put into doing them.

I have also scored some majorly cool fabric at generally modest prices with some folks doing the destashing. (Now I just have to hide the check book register from DH). Everyone that I have dealt with in a sale has been so open and communative it's been a treat to work with them.

I have given this site's name to both our local quilt shops and even to a couple ladies in the sewing sections of Walmart, bragging like it was my own child.

Yes, I too love this board and I am never bored with it. Thanks for making me feel welcome :)

buffy2 01-25-2011 07:40 PM

I agree with you guys. I spend about 2 hours every night this is the last thing i do before I go to bed. It is 12:08am now and I am saying good night to all of you on the board, will catch you again tomorrow night.

LUANNH 01-25-2011 07:43 PM

Ditto on all comments. I wonder how we could all play together and chit-chat over coffee.

newquilter10 01-25-2011 07:46 PM

Good night all, I think I will get out of here too.

4girlsmimi 01-25-2011 07:46 PM

Love this place too! When I need inspiration or ideas, I just get on here and I'm ready to go again. Great people in a great place and all eager and willing to help and encourage each other.

GagaSmith 01-25-2011 08:03 PM

I have been on this board for only a month and i have learned more than i could have imagined. You all teach me, motivate me, make me laugh and give me confidence. I'm so happy i found this board. Thank you all..

tjradj 01-25-2011 08:05 PM

I love this forum. There are so many different ways to use it to boost your spirit and creativity. From helpful hints, to ego boosts when you post a photo, to even chit chat in the chat room. No wonder I can't get to bed on time - the hours fly by on here!

C.Cal Quilt Girl 01-25-2011 09:33 PM

I agree, especially with the number of folks who visit and all the regulars. Hopefully we all understand a bad day, week, month, year who hasn't had them few and far between we all hope :)
Is kinda funny to read some of the hot topics, but seem to respect the others points, even if don't agree. JMO

Love angels 01-25-2011 10:59 PM

I so agree with you all. You have all said it so well. I have only been on the site for a couple weeks. And can't stop reading and looking at all the beautiful pictures. My list of projects is growing by leaps and bounds. LOL I keep saying just one more thread to read or picture and then I will go to bed. Well a couple hours later when I can't read anymore I finally go. Thank you for such a wonderful place to be.

JanetWall 01-26-2011 03:59 AM

I also look every morning over coffee. I think everyone on these board is the greatest. I would love to be able to make some of the stuff that is posted here.

EskapetheNorm 01-26-2011 04:27 AM

Gotta chime in ... love this site!

Stitchnripper 01-26-2011 04:35 AM

I love this site, and hope we can all continue to support each other, enjoy our good times and and share great ideas.

Molly B 01-26-2011 04:36 AM

I am fairly new here too, and what a grand way to start my day. I am learning so much from you all. Sigh! my morning cup and quilting class.

I agree too. But we can't all be happy ALL the time. Sometimes we just have to let it all out. Makes us feel better. We're friends thru thick and thin. Go ahead, grumble, I can take it.

Yooper32 01-26-2011 04:39 AM

There is no problem that someone on this board doesn't have an answer for and looking forward to my daily "fix" really keeps me going sometimes. I consider it "HOME" and everyone knows, there is noplace like home. If there is negativity that offends, all you have to do is find another thread, it is as simple as that.
