I started all over: brushed out bobbin areas, changed needle, fresh bobbin re-threaded everything..flossing thru the tension disk...don't know which one worked, but no more birds nest!! Thanks. was just about ready to throw the machine out the window!

In addition to having a clean machine, I find holding the top and bobbin thread for a stitch or two keeps those threads from being drawn down into the bobbin and causing a huge mess.

I had the same thing. My Bernina is fussy about that.

I had the same problem last week. Everything was doing fine and I was feeling really good about FMQ, UNTIL I looked at the back when I had to replace the bobbin. Very very loose stitches. (Problem only started for me on the last bobbin change) Took me an hour to remove it all and I just could not get the darned machine (Juki TL98E) to sew a good stitch. So, cleaned out everything, brought out the canned air, couple shots, removed that little thingy in the bobbin, cleaned that all out, new needle and now she is purring like a kitten again!!!

i have a pc6000 brother.altho it's about 11 yrs old,has only been used maybe 2 yrs. my hubs bought it for me about a yr before he died,& up til 3mo.ago,hasn't even been turned on.well, i took it n to be cleaned adjusted,etc,they kept it 3 wks, when i got ithome it sewed worse than when i took it in.took it back,thiss time only 2 wksSTILLdoing the same thing! i'mready to pitch it,too,only can't afford another.this was a $1300machine [on sale]so to get another comp. today is abouhgt $4000 or more !WAY out of my budget.am really unhappy& don't know what to do.HELP
