I just rec'd mine thru Nancy Notions who had a sale for St Pats...with 90.00 bonus dies and mats...plus 17per cent off entire order...So I saved a bundle...Looking fwd to getting it out and using it for the first time this wkend..

I have an accu quilt go cutter. I love it.It doesnt cut all the measurements but it does a good job with the strips,squares and triangles. Fox54

I don't think it's fair to speak for 'most' quilters when you don't like something. I love my Accuquilt - wouldn't be without it. I have hand, back and shoulder issues. I can cut out an entire quilt in 30 minutes. I can cut out HSTs with the fabrics RST - then lift them off the GO and sew them together. Total accuracy.

The cutter is a bit stiff when you first use it, but after a while it 'limbers' up and the handle becomes much easier to turn. I think that may be why some people don't like it - they don't use it long enough to give it a chance to limber up.

There is another aspect not mentioned here that is a consideration. The backing pieces which stop the dies when they go through the fabric WEAR OUT and have to be replaced. While I don't use mine a lot, I have worn one of my backing pieces out already!
I do have the Drunkard's Path die and I think when I get around to that project (LOL), I might appreciate having it more. But I don't think I am going to invest in the strip dies at this point. . .

I think you are talking about the mats. Try putting the mat in a different position each time you use it. I've been using the SAME mat on one of my dies for 3 quilts with no problems!

Also - rough cut your fabric to about 1/2" bigger than the die - much less waste. I waste less with the GO than I did with ruler & rotary cutter.

Great advice! Breaking in takes a little time, but after that, you feel like a pro!

I use my Accuquilt Go a lot. My granddaughters love it!
Love using it for bindings and applique pieces. The dies have been birthday and Christmas presents.
