I'm 33 and a beginning quilter. I started knitting several years ago, though! I get some kidding about my hobbies, but doesn't bother me. It's what I like to do!

What would be an appropriate hobby in his opinion?

I just turned 55 and tried to make my first quilt 40 years ago, but really just got back to quilting 5 years ago. Just to keep your husband from taking his his stereotypes too seriously however, my former neighbor recently became a grandmother at 36 so you can tell him you qualify age wise. And many men quilt so they couldn't possibly be grandmothers.

I'm a 45 yr old mom of 6 kids...started quilting 26 years ago. Sat down with a stack of gingham fabric and a pair of scissors and made a quilt for my first daughter. Did not think about looking at a pattern or a book...just knew what I wanted and made it.

I am 63, just retired yesterday, started quilting 7yrs ago. Wish I had started when I was younger. There is so many quilts I want to make.Age is only a number. My mom uses to say" In my mind I only feel 40." That is a great way to feel when you are in your 70.
Happy Quilting everyone and may we all be Quilting when we are 80

Hi, I am 71 and have been quilting since 1983and caught the bug. I am now helping a 8 yr boy to sew. He was only 5 when his grandmother was teaching gd to quilt. His attention span is only about an hour, But that is ok. I learned to sew at the age 7 in 4H and won lots of blue ribbons. Gensquilts
