I customize dry erase board with golf tees to store embroidery threads. I will make another board to store smaller spools some day. The boards are cut to fit in the drawers. Easy to slide out and see all the colors.

Oh! I like this idea! I went with their document box but it may be deep enough to do this. And yes, I'll probably need a couple but only bought one box for now. You know, the buying sight unseen thing. Off to find some golf tees now!

Gosh, just so much going on. We just bought a condo and now I'm back to setting up sewing rooms in two houses again. Never really got adjusted with this arrangement before, every time I got a notion to pull out a project to work on, turned out it was at the other place. This time its going to be a three day drive. Is having thread organized in it's own container going to help? Will it end up taking up even more space? Compared to rolling around in the bottom of a box of fabric that gets shoved behind the seat? I ended up spending a boatload on stuff to take and more stuff is sitting in a shopping cart. Gotta have my slimline floor lamp and a clamp on table lamp. Sparky, my little red iron. Worse yet, who cares about furniture? I want to just buy a Costco outdoor patio set to plop in the living room and call it good.
