They say the first of the twelve steps is admission.....okay, that's enough! Now, go and enjoy your "problem"!

Manga Janet 10-16-2011 10:36 AM

That is so awesome that you and your sister are quilting. As I get older and have more free time I really miss doing things with my sisters.

Olivia's Grammy 10-16-2011 10:46 AM

Wish the women or men in my family would catch my addition. They'd rather receive the quilts and they to appreciate them so I should be happy, huh?

KimS 10-16-2011 10:50 AM

Shame on your sister. ;-) Look at this way....you're among great company! Doesn't take long to become addicted does it. LOL!!

galvestonangel 10-16-2011 11:55 AM

Where are the quilt police when you need them?

trrmite 10-16-2011 12:20 PM

Have you suffer any of the side effects yet? My side effects came early. Ripping which included ripping out my hair, bleeding fingers, yelling, talking to myself, losing tools etc lol

KarenR 10-16-2011 12:24 PM

It's better than drugs, liquer, and any other expensive addiction.

Have fun quilting.

Happy Tails 10-16-2011 01:19 PM

Oh Ethel, you dear little soul....I lost my best friend (my mother) in February and I'm still trying to live without her, so what do ya think about adoting a sister in Nova Scotia? I'm trained and I'm hooked on quilting :)

gigi10 10-16-2011 02:12 PM

It sounds to me like it is just what you needed and it is a good thing she did for you.

CactusFlower 10-16-2011 02:19 PM

Oh poor baby,

dragonfly south 10-16-2011 02:35 PM

I love it! My friends laugh that I'm a substitute teacher and on all my applications, I have to list as a "habit"... quilter. No further explanation necessary. Welcome to the club! It's a happy group.

madamekelly 10-16-2011 04:24 PM

Who do you think told her to do it????????????

tlclifford47 10-16-2011 04:32 PM

I have been quilting for 4 years and I wonder where it has been all my life. :D

pjnesler 10-16-2011 04:33 PM

Sharing the LOVE!!!

BrendaK 10-16-2011 04:53 PM

Welcome sister, after all are we not brothers and sisters under the quilt (you knew what I mean). This addiction has many benefits. I don't know if your birth sister told you or not but once you start on this board you just get in deeper. The things you will learn and will be able to teach us are many. Looking forward to seeing your quilts. Nice to meet another sister. Hugs and GOD Bless. BrendaK

What family will do to each other - would love to have my sister that I got into quilting to live close.

mcdaniel023 10-16-2011 05:08 PM

If you think your sister is an enabler...you won't stand a chance with the qb sister/brotherhood of enablers. Stash, more stash, more machines, need I say more. Welcome and enjoy.

CherryPie 10-16-2011 05:30 PM

I thought that's what sisters are for???? Welcome to the board...this is a very addicting place, too. ((LOL))

Murphy1 10-16-2011 06:55 PM

Welcome to the addiction. I can relate. So much fabric, so little time.

alikat110 10-16-2011 07:06 PM

what a horribly, mean, wonderful, fabulous, amazing sister she must be!!!! hehehehe...but if your husband asks...i agree...blame her.

chuckbere15 10-16-2011 08:21 PM

cjsparks 10-16-2011 08:23 PM

grammysharon 10-16-2011 08:55 PM

Joan Gaddis 10-17-2011 05:52 AM

The only thing I would like to add is that addiction is why do we have to work and not be able to stay home and sew, sew, sew. It is hard to keep your mind on your job and not think about quit time and getting home to hit that machine as soon as possible. Also, why do we have to sleep and rest - that is such a waste of valuable time that we could use piecing quilts.

MimiLinda 10-20-2011 12:49 PM

Best kind of addiction that I can think of. Good for you. Have fun and HAPPY QUILTING. :D

twixbar 10-20-2011 01:54 PM

Very funny. :D
