We got another 18 inches yesterday. I went into work after I shoveled out, for awhile. Then I came home to finish the rest of the driveway and back deck (for the birdies).

I was so tired after doing that I took a nap. I didn't quilt at all yesterday. Actually I've been having a problem getting motivated. The weather is depressing the heck out of me.

I haven't had time to quilt this week between quilt meetings (that didn't get cancelled!), helping DH clear snow and working. Thankfully the weekend is here now. We have had over 50" of snow in the month of January!

This is where my car was. You can see how much snow we have all together on the left side of the picture.

I have gotten a lot of Linus quilts made as many of my other activities have been cancelled because of the weather. This morning I was upset because I didn't have power for more than two hours. I know that doesn't sound so bad except that we have a well and no power means no water. Us mature ladies usaully have a love affair with our bathrooms. I also couldn't use my sewing machine or iron and I don't currently have a handquilting project ready to work on. I just finished a bed size quilts that will be raffled off to benefit our local Linus Chapter last week.

Sadly, I haven't been snowed in - expected to get to work. DH sent me this yesterday. Said it was our street.

Pretty good photo-shopping, I'm sure.

I love a snow day! I put the crockpot on, make a pot of coffee, and "hole" up in my sewing room :D

I love snow too. After the shoveling, and roof raking I snowshoe. We have about 2-3 feet on the ground. I sew mostly in the evening rather thatn watch TV. My sewing room is in the cellar so I can't look out at it which I love to do.

I've got a 2 year old. And shoveling to do since my DH's work never closes. I teach, so I do get closures sometimes, but I don't get a ton of sewing done at all.

We've gotten over 35/38+ inches since right after Christmas. I'm tired of it.

My DH and I are retired so we don't go out unless we need to. He actually likes snow blowing our driveway :) I've enjoyed staying in and sewing...or not. Just depends on how I feel that day. I might bake or make bread. All those years of scraping my windshield to go to work makes me glad I'm retired :)

Okay, I just have to ask: Is that a real picture or one that has been "doctored up?" If it is real, where do they put the snow that is removed from the road??!! :? That would make me a bit claustraphobic!!

At first being snowed in feels ok as I can get some quilting done and being retired I am grateful I don't have to drive to work anymore, but this winter there has been one storm after another and now we have no more room to put the new storms that are coming our way. I did work on paper piecing a block and it took me part of two days as I had never done any PP before so that was a good project to do. Now we are all getting sick of snow and get out any chance we can inbetween storms. I work on my quilting part of every day and it has been a blessing this winter.
