You will love this book. Fat Quarter Fonts by Terry Atkinson. You can make any letter or number any size you want in in print or cursive. It is all done by machine and NO FUSIBLE.

Try the paint and craft sections at Walmart for letter and number stencils. Your local paint store may have them too.

I have seen a lot of people putting the child's name on a baby quilt. I want to do this but haven't had any success finding stencils or something to do it with. I use my "Foundation Factory" program to print out paper pieced letters. I get to pick the size I want and can even add the quarter-inch margins if I wish. All the letters are done with straight seams, so there is no chance of "fancy" script. No one who has received one of my personalized quilts has complained about the straight line letters!! If I want to "fancify" something, I use more glam or bling in the letter fabrics. Another benefit is that all the letters in a name will be the same height and width proportions.

Walmart has them in the craft section. They're 4" and about $4-5. They also have larger sizes.

there are some wonderful panels and fabrics with different styles and colors of alphabets, I always buy them when I see them at the store and then use them to create the name, they look beautiful and are easy to applique
