Love your own work! This looks good and deserves to be finished. Sometimes it helps to remember you are a growing quilter! Each quilt teaches us something and you have a great selection of fabrics. Be kind to yourself and stop ripping!!
|
You are doing a great job! Stop being so critical! It's supposed to be fun, not make you frantic, relax and enjoy!

Hi, from a long time quilter in South Central MO. My-O-My! Please stop worrying about your ability to move on in your piecing and quilting. I have to agree with so many before me...you're doing a great job! And the colors you've chosen are beautiful! Yummy, actually. Look forward to seeing it together! Blessings and have fun with your quilting...your friends and family will be overjoyed to receive something that you've made for them! Remember in any art form there are slight imperfections...that's what makes them so precious and helps us grow. We learn as we go and that's the way it's supposed to be!

I love your fabrics! Don't see anything wrong with your star. It will be beautiful. Post a finished picture.

You are doing a very fine and competent job. Keep going. You might consider showing us what you believe you are doing wrong, so we can give you input along the way? We just love to be encouraging. :D

Your work looks lovely. Don't be so hard on yourself - no one is "perfect." Don't know how close you are to Fountain, but when I was visiting my son in Pueblo, found a wonderful shop in Fountain - I am sure the two sisters who own it would love to help you and give you inspiration.

Hi Carol,
Looks like we are from the same neighborhood! I love your colors and your block looks great to me. My favorite teacher that I have ever had told us about the 10 foot rule. If you can't see it from 10 feet away it doesn't exist! She still gives classes at the Quilters Studio in Longmont. Her name is Donna Mae and she does a start to finish class that would be great for you. Everyone at the shop is very friendly and helpful. Also go online and look up the Quilt quild in Fort Collins I think it is The League of Northern Colorado Quilters. They have a program where they pair and new quilter with an experienced quilter to help them with any questions or problems they might have with their projects. The Fig Leaf in Fort Collins is a great Quilt store also. PM me if you have any questions. Good luck! :-) |
This post is a gem. Go forth and do your best!
