You sure have a good sense of color. That is the hard part for me. I've just made three now, and they are all dark...tans and beige..browns. Can't seem to buy bright things. Its a learning experience I guess. I like your colors. They are nice.

I love your colour choice for the patchwork. Just relax and, as others have said, enjoy your craft. Often others do not notice any "imperfections" that only you know about anyway. I was told that when there is a mistake in one of my quilts, to leave it. It gives it character and a little bit of history to talk about in years to come.
Making and giving a quilt is one of the most pleasurable experiences that I personally enjoy most. Unsewing constantly leaves you with poor memories of the quilt which is sad. The recipient is not likely to inspect it with a quilt judges eyes anyway, so try not to worry too much. I look forward to seeing more of your work. Best wishes |

This quilt is supposed to have a huge star in the middle of it. Then it will be framed with two different widths of border and then binding. I am enclosing a photo in hopes that some of you might take a look at what I have done so far and give me some feedback. Are my squares and points lined up close enough? Am I on the right track? It looks great to me too! It's not about the perfection; it's the journey we all seek! Relax and have fun with it. Finish it, it'll be lovely! Welcome to our community. I just started quilting last June & these folks still have my learning curve in the vertical position. Enjoy!

Your thread could have been written by me. I was just like you, always sewing and ripping. It wasnt until I relaxed,and did'nt worry about the quilt police that I started enjoying the process. If seams or points don't match my thought maybe the next one will.
Relax and enoy what you are doing. Like all the others have said your blocks looks good and your colors are perfect. |
