I have been wondering about quilting from the back of the quilt, because it is hard to see markings on the fabrick, and the back is the same kind of White On White that you described. I think now I am going to actually go ahead and try it. Thanks for the idea.!!!

You can definitely use the backside... I sometimes like the backside better myself... :) I heard this on a T.V. program I saw once... just have fun with it.. :)

Never thought about using the back side of white on white or tone on tone. I might have to try this in the future.

That is called white on white. I am making a quilt with it now. On mine, it is difficult to tell which is the front and which is the back. I hope I'm getting them all right; but, if I stick a few backs and right sides both, I'm sure no one will even be able to tell.

You must be talking about the "Other" right side !!! Use it often. Just "re"-started on my applique blocks and discovered I am using the "other" right side---at the time I put the fabric together there must have been a reason. This way you have twice as much fabric :)

When I took it up to be cut I opened it up from the bolt and the backside of it was the white on white and I loved it but it is THE BACK SIDE of the material! My question is would it be wrong to use the back side as the front? I really like it so much better that the front. I really need help on this.

I can't say any more than the others so use the back side and enjoy it,

I have made several quilts using the back side.
Sometimes I like it better than the front. One quilt I use both front and back. It looked like two different fabrics. Take a giant step out of that box. :-) Then send us pics. |

It makes an interesting design when you can use both sides. They go well together and yet are different.
