Don't forget to check the clearance aisle at Wal-Mart. Got a burgandy 200 thread count twin size flat sheet for $2 and a king size (108x102)dk taupe one for $7 last night. Was hoping the green one they had was also a king or at least a queen, but it was a full size fitted sheet...wouldn't work for the back of my queen/king quilt.

I have been signed up for Joannes email notices for a long time, but I never get coupons in the emails, how do I do that?

I don't recommend using sheets for quilt backs. The thread count is too high. Makes quilting much more difficult. The needle doesn't pass through the threads like in quilting fabric. It punctures and breaks the threads. Sheets are fine for duvet covers.

I dropped off the radar at Joann's for a period of time and now I just keep an address label in my wallet. I give it to the clerk to scan each time I'm going through the check out. Sign up to get their emails and you will receive printable coupons in addition to the mailer.

Looky what I bought at JoAnn's today - 40% off quilting books.

I love Eleanor Burns and finally got one of the three books of hers I really want. Since I love PP, I got the 101 block book because it looked fun. The First Quilt Book is one I borrow from teh library all too often. I find it is a good reference, easy to read, and she is a great teacher.

Anyway, JoAnn's is having that great sale.

I too agree with not using sheets for quilt backings. It's hard on the needles when quilting.
