I've never tried wax paper but will try to remember this and just be careful until I see if I like the results. The teflon cookie sheet liner sounds interesting too. Might as well go and get some parchment paper too. Lots of new ideas for me this morning. :)

I have a rol of wax paper, freezer paper and parchment paper in my sewing room. I have used the wax paper in a lot of situations and have never had a negative turn out.

I hadn't heard about using wax paper in that way. I did, however, take a quilt class,where instead of using heavy weight interfacing, the instructor used freezer paper for doing applique work on quilt blocks. It is definitely cheaper, easier to find, and it did tear off easily.

You can run your iron over a sheet of wax paper if
it gets something sticky on the bottom and it will glide nicely after that. |
