Yes, the sewing machine repair shop called and said they will ship me a new machine. I bought a new Smarter by Pfaff the end of Oct. 2010. I took it in for some adjustments and when I got it back home and plug it in was dead nothing. Worked great when I left the shop then nodda. Well I took it back and they just called said they would send out a new one. I can not complain with the service. I hear so much on here that you get no service after the sale. So far Pfaff has treated me right. You can always have problems with any product from time to time.

That is great News!

This is wonderful news! Love to hear about this kind of service :D:D:D

I'm very happy for you! It's great to hear of good service. So many times we just complain about what's wrong instead of what's right! :D
|
Glad to hear a company is standing behind their product. In these times I am sure they couldnt afford to have any negative advertising ..

That is awesome! Our local shop is extremely good with after service as well...it means everything to me!

So happy you will be getting a new machine...

I'm glad to hear about your good service. I have Pfaff machines and my dealer is really good with their service also.
|
Glad to hear of someone getting taken care of properly after the sale. How do you like the Smarter? Any complaints? Does it take other Pfaff feet? How many feet were included? Satisfied with the auto cut? Low bobbin alert?

I am new to sewing let alone quilting. My DW took me to so many quilt shows that I diceided to start quilting. I started with an old White. Thought if I am going to do this I want a better machine. I looked at alot of machines and for the money I think the Smarter is a great machine. I do not know about the feet because I don't know any other. The thread cutter is the first I ever had so I think it works great. The needle up and down and the speed control is what I like. While my new machine has been back in the shop I completed another top on my 1949 FW. DW did not want me to get a computer sewing machine but I think it will be great.

Oh yes the low bobbin alert is great. I can not tell you the number of GRR's I had with my old machine or my FW when I ran out of bobbin thread. As for the number of feet I am not at the machine to count but I also got the quilters tool box which has quilt in the ditch, 1/4 foot, 1/4 right side foot, free motion foot may be others. The basic machine has 3 or 4 feet.

Well, keep us poster about this machine, please. Many of us are interested. Btw, my beloved grandma, who taught me how to sew, lived in Racine the last 15 years of her life. I just bought my first FW from a guy in Racine, met him at the Petrol station where Gma used to pick me up if I took the bus from Chicago. Who is your dealer? I'm not to impressed with my closest Pfaff dealer and don't mind the drive to Racine ( or Rockford) for better service.

I got my Pfaff in New Berlin. Accurate Sewing. It is a father and Son operation. They sell and repair sewing machines. They don't sell anything else except sewing machine stuff. I am from the old school and this is an old school shop. It reminds me of an old shoe repair shop when I was a kid, guess that is why I like it. They know what they are doing and do it well been there since the 50's.

Thx for the tip!
