Old Singers have an elyptical metal tag with serial number which is on the machine itself. It starts with one or two letters. If you go on line and enter that number you can find out when and where it was made. I found out that mine was made in New Jersey in 1922. I hope this helps.

Nice! I assume the table went with it? I love my treadle and use it for almost all my piecing. Singer 15's are a great model and my favorite. Even being a repro I would snap it up.

Thanks, it does help. From what I've been reading, pre-1900 Singers had no letters in front of the serial numbers. Singer actually has a list of serial numbers on their website. Thanks for all the info and replies. This one isn't as old as I had hoped when I bought it. We're happy with it...we just though it was really pretty.

That's a beautiful machine. Seems to be in excellent condition with decals intact and no scratches that I can see. You got a real deal.
