My fantastic idea is to use them in quilts and stop buying. I have slowed down my buying but haven't really stopped. I was looking for something under the desk where I make cards last night and found 20 more fat quarters down there. oops.

Fatty Fatty 2 x 4 is a great way to use up fat quarters. I have made 3 of them. If you look under "same pattern different look" you will find them. It's fun and easy to make.

This is made from fat quarters and is made from a free pattern that came in the mail. It looks like a 4 patch made from hst with white corners. Does anyone have the pattern and would share it? It works up really pretty. The name of the pattern is Cumberland. Check out this picture.

Yellow Brick Road is a pattern that's very fat quarter friendly.

They do look different. That looks very doable. Nice job on your quilts.

I should have so many!

Definitely use the Yellow Brick Road Pattern! She has lots of other nice patterns too. "Let's Do Lunch" projects use FQ's too. Have fun, and please post pics of your projects! :)

Yes, definitely scrappy quilts. Have you checked out Bonnie Hunts website http://quiltville.com/starstruck.shtml with many free patterns?

That is the pattern I am currently using to make a quilt with FQ. When you scroll down on the left there are many patterns under Scrappy Quilts.

What I also do is make a two tone quilt and just use all lets say blue fat quarters and all yellow fat quarters and then add a pretty border with blue and yellow in it.

Both the pink and purple based delectable mountain pattern from Quilt Ville
