I got large screw on “nuts for large bolts” at surplus city they are about 3 ½” across and 2” high they are wonderful for pattern weight. They are heavy enough to hold fabric and easy to pick up.

Like so,many others, painters tape, hemp stats, tweezers, and pony tail holders without the metal things to wrap around spools of thread to,hold the end down......oh, any variety of chocolate.........calla

I use non skid shelf liner under my sewing machines, a post it note to cover the throat plate while changing needles, a fork for perfect pleats every time, a potholder folded to hold my scissors, large plastic hooks to hang scissor holders from on my sewing tables, revolving trays to hold accessories, coffee cups and cute wicker baskets hold small necessities, a nuts and bolts storage container for presser feet etc. A prescription bottle for needles, just to name a few.

Lot of the above, also Qtips for cleaning around the feeddogs (after taking off throat plate) and behind bobbin
Also wooden pancake spatula to help "stick" the blocks to my design wall - I'm short and can't reach the upper part without help. My design wall is a large Warm and Natural batting thumbtacked onto the wall. I also saw a blog recently (whose?) where she used a toilet brush (new of course!) to clean the threads off her desugn wall. I want to try that |
I put bed lifters under the legs of my cutting table so I wouldn't have to bend over so much. Works wonders for me.
