What about string piecing on a foundation fabric, cutting into squares for some of the Priairie Queen pieces, and alternating with coordinating plain blocks/pieces in the Prairie Queen pattern?

The only time I used satin it raveled something awful. I did not use an iron-on stabilizer or anything like that, though. So maybe experiment with something smaller and wash it a few times first to see how it acts. Making larger seam allowances might be an option to consider.
