anybody like giraffes?

this is a childs quilt- ufo---finished
a few years ago a group of us made this quilt for a friend expecting her first grandchild- the designer was kind enough to allow all of us the pattern- so after quilting the first one for the group gift quilt i made one of my own- finally finished it up. so, a February UFO is done- one more off my stack! yea! i tried to attach 2 pics- one a better full quilt shot but for some reason am having computer issues- |
What an adorable quilt! I hope you are keeping it to enjoy yourself, but it would be a great quilt for anyone of any age too.

This is really cute! Since I just went to Kenya, it is esp. nice to me. ;) (There, they have giraffe just on the side of the roads, grazing--away from the city, of course!)

everyone liking the giraffes, they are simply a coloring book rendition-
our little sewing group tends to turn to coloring books often for animal appliques- they tend to be fairly large- simple lines- and oh so cute! a coloring book from the dollar store can be a great applique resource! :) thanks for the compliments. |

For my son's Playpen 32 yrs ago, I had a fabric that had Giraffes on it, so made a pad for the "Wooden Play pen" and had enough left over to make a simple tote bag for toys, diapers etc... Love your quilt.....
