I usually put my name and year the quilt was finished. On two quilts made for the grand kids, I also embroidered a dove on the back because the quilts were for their new home on White Dove Lane.

I always hand embroidery my name and date in the bottom left corner, using nearly the same color thread to make it subtle.

A friend once gave me 250 commercially embroidered labels with my name on them, for my birthday. Hence, every quilt has a label but I am running out...

No I don't but it is a good idea.

I'm sure you have another birthday coming up.

I ALWAYS label my quilts. I make a label and after a class I took last week, I learned how to sign my name when I FMQ.

Same here.

Name of quilt, whom made for if applicable, date, my name and city and state. If it's from a pattern I try to incorporate that into the label, giving designer and periodical due credit.

This is a wonderful idea! As a new quilter, I actually haven't signed my quilts in any form whatsoever - granted, I've only made a bunch of wall hangings and pieced some tops, but maybe I should start! :)

Great idea I myself have not done this can't think of what I'd use. A friend who also quilts always puts a heart on every quilt from a fabric with hearts or embroidery.

Every one of my quilts, and every one of my fountains and bird baths has a ladybug hidden somewhere in plain sight. Ladybug Artistry is the name of my small, but growing little artistic business, Seems to be turning more toward the quilt side lately. I also include a label
