I use the Go die cut machine and use it to cut shapes from my scraps. I can sew tiny scraps together and then cut the shapes. I love scrappy tumbler blocks alternating with bright white tumbler blocks.

I'd LOVE!! to be able to just cut and be done for a quilt (or 3)

takes me a long time to decide what I want to do, by the time I get the fabric, board and other stuff ready it's time to pack up

:(

I am with Chele , I had to take some medication that damage the tendon in my shoulder . :( Cutting hurts but I want let that stop me. :x I do a little at a time. Sew a while and cut more. But if it wasn’t for that medication I might not be here today. :? I am blessed

I cut several at a time also.
Love scrappy quilts!
I have several patterns that I use alot and make notes as to how many strips I need for each. ex 3 1/2" for bow tie,4" for a mosaic,2" for a log cabin,5" for a tumbler and a dresden plate.
then I cut a strip of each size from a large stack of fabrics(at least 30 different prints)
It goesn much faster this way as you are handling the fabric once not 6 times

Unfortunately, (or maybe fortunately) I have done this many times because I design a lot of my quilts and hate doing the math for exact cutting, so I just start cutting until I think I have enough. No wonder I can't use up all my scraps!

Glad to know others figure wrong sometimes too. At least I have enough for several quilts. Was going to make Queen with no border. Now, I might make more and put a border on them.
lol

Won't get to quilt today. Church this morning, then this afternoon is my darling granddaughter's birthday party from 2-6. She will be 2 on Wednesday. Can't believe it.

Me, too. I count and recount and then whoops, they multiply somewhere in the process.

I just finished a scrappy quilt that didn't have fabric requirements with it. I did the math, cut and made the blocks. When I laid out the blocks on the bed I realized I had made twice as many as I needed. Now I have blocks for another quilt should I need one in a jiffy.
