Anyone know where to find "Arctic Cat Green" colored fabric?

I don't know if this is actually a licensed color or not, but I did a quick google search, and didn't see what I was looking for. Wondering if it exists. DS wants this whacked-out (read: make your eyeballs spin) log cabin squares done in AC green, black and white.

Which brings me to my second question: This is obviously a version of a Log Cabin pattern, but it's built like a bar graph instead of the usual large-to-small steps; any idea where I can find a bigger pattern than this infant/lap-sized one? (It's the pink & brown one about 1/3 down the page).

The pink and brown top is done with 1/4 Log Cabin blocks. It reminds me of the Thinking Outside The Block quilt from Toad U Sew? I don't know if this is the green you are looking for but I picked this up for quilt I am working on. The selvage reads David Textiles.

t would help if we knew more about the color. Is it a stated color, is it from a sports color. What is it.
Have you Googled. If it is from a company then you probably need to find the item - jacket or whatever and then match the color to some fabric line. So Just not enough info to give an informed answer.

The quilt pattern you linked to is made with quarter Log Cabin blocks.
(I'm unfamiliar with the bar graph method.)

Instead of starting the block in the middle and working the logs around the center, the starting square is in a corner, and the block is built up by adding to two sides, instead of four.

Four of the smaller blocks are joined to make one larger block (so you need 16 smaller blocks to make the quilt as presented).

You're asking for a bigger pattern -
Can't you just add more blocks to get the size you want?
Or do want to make the quilt larger by using bigger blocks?

The strips in that quilt are 2" FINISHED (2.5" CUT).
You can adjust it up or down to whatever size you want.
Or even add more rounds to each block.

And just an FYI - that particular pattern requires that every seam in each block match up when joined with the next block (the smaller 4 blocks to each other and then the 4 larger blocks to each other).

Most other Log Cabin patterns avoid having to do that (albeit with different color patterns).

Back "in the day" (my past with snowmobelies!) The Arctic Cat green translated into a lime/dark lime green on clothing.

Ach, got timed out....

Try this for the color match

Just put the crosshair where you want it, and click on the FIND button.

I found some blenders but they're not quite it - either too bright or too dull.

And this is just a bit too leprechaun-y - http://www.equilter.com/cgi-bin/webc...00113413973.fa

Unless Arctic Cat has officially licensed fabric, I doubt you're going to be able to find the right color by searching for it using their trademark name. You'll have to look under various names of green, such as apple, kelly, frog, grass, acid, lime, etc. There are a few fabric websites where you can search by color, but be aware that could leave you open to color errors because of lighting and monitor differences.

Try batiks ... I have some in my stash that would be pretty close to the Cat colour.

Thanks for the tips, everyone. This will give me several more avenues to go down. Peckish- LOL at the "acid" green...but you're right. It's probably somewhere between acid, hazmat, nuclear waste, and lime on the color wheel :)

MTS, etal- YES! Quarter Log Cabin is exactly it. Just like a bar graph!
