Anyone lose a box of quilts recently
 

I saw a post on FB someone found alongside a road in a box.

Not sure if this is relevant to what you saw...

These were lost between Rock Creek and Jen's at I-90 West Montana . The girl who posted she is on FB and said to contact her. She said if no one claims them she will make other quilts out of them for Sheriffs Dept. To me that would be so wrong.

Not so wrong. At least they would be used for good. Roxie proves there are still good people in the world.

Suggestion to all: When moving, put an address label or two with your new address INSIDE the boxes, especially if you have personal "treasures" (such as quilts) in the box.

I think I might also glue my phone # in the box and offer a small reward for the return of the box as well.

Yes there are good people still and I think it was really nice of Roxie to post it. Maybe I said it wrong but I wouldn't be too quick to do that as there are quilts missing a long time and then they are ound.
Yes your idea of putting info on ev is very smart and also I think to put some info on a quilt label.

In reading Roxie's FB post it says they are quilt TOPS(not fully made quilts) and that if owner is not found she will finish making the tops into quilts. I think this is very nice of her to do. I'm assuming she will wait a good while to see if owner is found.

Hopefully she will post on lostquilt.com

i recently moved & lost several boxes with quilts...i was alerted to this post, but they are not my quilts...thank you to all for watching for my quilts....i appreciate it & am hoping they are returned...as they mean soooo much to me...thank you all...i do have a post - lost quilt in the pictures category with a description of one of my lost tops...thank you again....monica from texas to south carolina

I think it very nice that she posted on FB about the quilt tops. I don't think it would be wrong of her to finish them off and donate them. I know the person who lost them would like them back but can you realistically expect someone to keep a whole box of quilt tops they found along a road for years waiting for someone to claim them?

I just texted a quilt friend of mine in Montana. See if she has heard anything. Will post here if I hear anything from her.
