I am getting ready to order from the Missouri Star Quilt Co for a first time. Anyone have any comments?Good? Bad? They have a special deal I liked.

Yes..........it was a very positive experience.

Yep! Nothing but good things to say about them! Fast shipping of what I ordered, and they refund the difference if shipping is cheaper than the estimate! (or at least they did for me)

This is what prompted me. I had seen one thing. By the time I got around to ordering it, it was gone. So yesterday I tried again with something new. I can envision that someone could buy from their special deal daily if they aren't careful.

Yes, the Daily Deal can be deadly to the budget. I have a monthly budget for it and try to refrain from ordering anything beyond that. when my budget is gone, it is gone until the following month. So far, it's working.

I have bought the daily deal quite a few times and it is my first destination each morning. Their packages arrive very quickly and always have a personal note on the packing slip! There tutorials are great. You can even call and they will answer any questions, there customer service is beyond helpful. in fact, I am such a big fan that on my last trip to visit family in Kansas City, Mo I took a side trip to the actual store. The town was so small that my bf asked me if I was going to be disappointed when I got there. I told him no! It turned out to be a small location but had the largest selection of precuts and wonderful displays, finished quilts and fabric all around the store. They were so helpful and friendly to me while I was there and even posted my visit on their blog (I am a member of their forum). I can't wait to go back because the next time I am going to attend their Friday night quilting party!

Going to their website to see the Daily Deal is a regular habit here. I've ordered the "special deals" several times and have never been disappointed. I really like their tutorials as well. There are LOTS of them.

(being in California, the deal of the day always changes at 10:00 p.m. in the evening, I always check it before going to bed. One thing I have found is that if you like the Daily Deal--don't wait. They do sell out sometimes and I have been disappointed.....)

The first time when I was reading the board, I put in missouriquiltco.com and got something like a directory. Then you answered and gave me the info and I am still getting a directory - what am I doing wrong?

I'll have to check them out. They have great ideas for using your jelly rolls and layer cakes on their Youtube videos.
