For those of you who are interested, you can google search an image. Steps are as follows:
Go to google images
Click on the camera where you enter your search
Click on the browse button and upload your image
Click the search button

LOL That hyperlink has been posted twice already and 'pointed to' a third time. The OP hasn't returned since she posed the question so perhaps she found it on her own. A simple Google search by name of the pattern (which was provided by the OP) sends you right to Connecting Threads and the downloadable version.

I don't know the pattern, but it looks like blocks turned on point with a black strip in the middle of every block.

Very pretty quilt and easy to make.

I don't think that would work. Half of the strips would go up and down, and the other half would go across the block. If you make long strip sets and cut out the triangles from top and bottom, all the strips will be going across the block so that when you sew them together into the square, you get the boxes.

Whereas the tube of the tube quilt from Missouri Star Co has 3 - 2 1/2" strips, this one has 2 - 2 1/2" (A & B) strips and
1 - 1 1/2" (Ca) and 1 - 1" (Cb) I did this by taking 1 - 2 1/2" (C)strip and cutting it into 2 uneven strips. I tried it this way & it worked fine. You can cut the C strips into any size you want. The object is to make them uneven. If you have any questions pm me. Unfortunately I no longer have my sample block, as I gave the quilt away & this was one that I failed to take a picture of.

I drew a string sq. and cut it corner to corner and it does work. Good luck with it! I'm saving my drawing and add it to "quilts I want to make"

I understand why the OP is looking for a free pattern. It drives me nuts to pay $8,$9,$10 + for a pattern that I have to use my ink and paper to get a printed copy! I am pleased to pay for someone's creativity but really! The price for some of these "downloadable" patterns is just gouging and greed. Ooops! Do I sound like a curmudgeon?!

"I found this quilt and it said it's called splits n strips. Does anyone know if it's called anything else?

I am trying to find the pattern to download but can only find places to order it. I was hoping maybe it's called something else that I can search for."

To answer your questions-yes, it 'could' be called something else. "Summer in the Park". However, those blocks are on point, but of course not necessary. And, it appears as if the extra 'shadows' around the blocks are missing from the pattern you are looking for.

As for a free pattern written down-here you go--She calls it 'Summer at the Beach'

I haven't seen a single picture of a Splits n Strips or Summer in the Park that wasn't beautiful. Wonderful fabric choices on all the quilts.
