Applique lettering
I'm making a quilt for my Great Great Niece and wanted to applique her name onto it. For those of you who have done a lot of applique quilting, where do you find the lettering that you use? I've tried Googling for FREE applique letter templates, and only find ones that charge.

Type it into Word. You can pick the font (something bold) and the size you want for your project. Print and trace the letters (in reverse).

My daughter is a teacher and I used some of the letters she had for her boards. If you have a Lakeshore store or GW School supplies they sell them.

Something like this? This is done in Word and printed off. Remember - you can actually change your printer to print in 'Mirror Image'. That way you don't have to reverse the letters to draw round.

Sorry no help but I am watching other people's ways. As a teacher. I just draw it.

I just this morning found an entire set of upper and lower case letter templates for applique. They are free and are on the blog site "Skip to My Lou".
