I am in over my head. Back in November, I moved most of my sewing stuff from a little loft area to a spare bedroom that was full of stuff.
I impulsively signed up for a tote making class happening on Sat. and need to quilt some fabric before hand.
Can't find my walking foot or for that matter my darning foot for free motion. Can find too much fabric (yes, I am convinced I have too much at this point).
Oh well, thanks for 'listening'. I'm going back up, wish me luck...

Good luck finding the missing walking foot. My walking foot recently "died" and I had to get a replacement. It is really nice to use one that works properly. So, I took the old quilting guide from my old walking foot (that only fits on the walking foot on the right) and took it to work with me. (I work at a vocational school.) One of our instructors converted the old right-hand guide into a left-hand guide that will really help me when quilting a large quilt that has to be rolled up from the right. Does any of this rambling make sense to anyone???? I'm happy, anyway.

Oh, thank you all!
Your warm wishes must have helped. I found it! There was a lot of inner negative talk going on, though. This has to be my incentive to:
1. finish organizing everything so this doesn't happen again
and
2. go on a fabric diet, so to speak, until I use some of this stuff up!
Take care,
lots2do (but now, too pooped to do it)
PS lynordyke, good thinking, I have a few slant shanked feet around here - wonder if someone could adapt them for low shanked machines

My DH is pretty crafty when it comes to metal fabrication... I can't understand why he looked at me like I'm crazy when I showed him my 1/4" foot and my walking foot and said, make me something that does both. tee hee

Glad you found where your walking foot "walked" off to! Good luck in class on Saturday and be sure to show us pictures. :D

I'll try to post after the class. Hopefully, I'll get it mostly done then. I tend to be the slowest student in class, sometimes!

My sewing room has had adult "children" move back into it 3 times in the last 10 years. I finally have the room back but still have not found all of my stuff! I keep re-buying. Financially bad, but a heck of a lot less stress then spending precious sewing time "looking"...
