If I ate chocolate and drank wine everytime I needed my ripper I'd be a 500lb wino. ;)

Sorry I know how you feel. I about wore my seam ripper out on one of my Boo Boo's. Hugs and chocolate.

I once cut the short pieces of sashing before I assembled the blocks because I knew how long they were suppose to be. When I went to attack them to the blocks they were all too short. I had calculated on 1/2" seams but I actually sewed the blocks together using 1/4" seams. the fabric was some I had ordered on line so I had to order more and wait for it to come. I was glad it was reorderable and not some sale remnant fabric. I am now making coasters out of the too short strips.

I think over time most of us will have a story like this. I made blocks for a quilt and when I finished I had 11 instead of 12. No more material. So, I did a block with the word LOVE on it and put it prominently in the middle. They think it is a design element.
Then I donated the quilt so it would get a good home and not bug me. |
Lots of chocolate (and your favorite bottle of wine) being sent via ether air waves (very fast delivery) to you. Nothing worse than thinking you are nearly done with a quilt only to discover you still have major work ahead.
Hang in there!! |
Oh good. I thought I was the only one who did things like this. I've been badder than you though - instead of ripping on one quilt, I added strips to the sides of my last row and pretended it was the pillow sham!!! Still dug into the chockys though!!

Been there, done that. More times than I care to admit. Eat the chocolate, drink the wine and get out the seam ripper!
|
How about a jug of Bailey's? That's chocolatey and will also sooth the nerves! Then you will be relaxed as you RIP!!
Good luck! |
OOohhhh, don't believe even chocolate would make me feel better. I believe this would be one of my Margarita moments! LOL

No sympathies please, just send chocolate.
