You can also consider it a 2 block quilt. Both almost alike, but one with an extra row. They will then sew together beautifully.

I wish I knew how to draw a picture.

it is an Irish chain. look up how to do the A block and the B block for a triple Irish chain to get an idea, then expand and adapt.

there are two different blocks that are 16x16 patches. you just have to make sure that the [in this case] blue points are placed correctly in the solid patches block.

Look at the pattern on the diagonal and it will make sense.

Beautiful quilt-Just a dumb question-could you use a square or rectangle in the white areas instead of all those little squares or would that change the look of it? Must put on my bucket list!
