If you are going to be in Yuma there is Grandma Jo's on 32 St. They have lovely fabric but I would go first to Bonnie's Fabric in the market. They have now doubled the size of their store and their prices are great. Perhaps someone else can pitch in with an address or directions or I will get back to you with more info.

There is a really good store on 35 ave and Northern. It is a sew and vac store.

If you want some really good buys go to SAS on 12 street and Indian School. It is kind of a place where they get the leftovers from all over. I can spend 4 hrs in there. They are not open on Sundays.

Quilters Oasis and Mad B’s quilt shops in Mesa are great. Quilters Oasis carries a nice selection of Batiks and Cicil War style fabrics. Mad B’s is a fun shop. Also, you cannot go wrong visiting Mulqueen's in Mesa at Val Vista and Main streets. Fabrics start at $6.95 per yard and they carry the full line of Kona fabric. It is 11,000 sq ft of basically everything needed for embroidery, quilting or long arms. They sell Brother, Phaff, Janome and Judi machine and have the full line of accessories for all of them.

Mulqueens is a must in Apache Junction. I believe they have two locations. Grandma Jo's is a must place to stop if in Yuma. I have shopped with Bonnie and Ken for years. You do have to be careful as some of their fabric is thin. Ken is really knowledgeable too. They are in the Indoor Flea Market on 32nd Street in Yuma.

Mulqueen’s actually has 3 locations now - they opened a new one in Tempe a year or so ago. Others locations are Mesa and Glendale. Mesa is the largest and is pretty much a quilters candy-land; Tempe is the middle location by size but does have a different selection of fabric and carries the Moda solids rather than Kona. Glendale is a much smaller location.

I shopped at both of these a couple of weeks ago. Both are nice stores. I was very surprised at how complete Bonnie’s store was. Being not a traditional storefront, I expected much less. Nice folks.
