I need a simple quick pattern to make 2 baby quilts, for twins. I am in the middle of starting a business, so I'm swamped making Bow Tuck totes. I need it to be something I can do twice, just changing the colors for a boy and a girl.
Any ideas? |
Trip around the world in blue or pink would be pretty. :)

diagonals with alternating colors blue, pink, green work good.

Basically Kids Stuff( or Patience Corner) It is one I downloaded for free, but I can't remember the website. It was fast , turned out nice.

I'm doing one now that is just 6" Winnie the Pooh print blocks alternating with 9 patch blocks. I used just 2 colors for the 9 patch and with strip quilting it is going fast. Just 15 9patch blocks and 15 print squares makes a 30x36. With 1 3inch border it will be 36x42. Really fast and easy.

A simple 9Patch is always cute for kids. I think everyone forgets how simple and cute this pattern is. You can make 12 or 16 block quilts in no time with two colors and use a cute baby fabric for the back.
Don't forget to show and tell! peace |
The recipients Mom has added a request. She wants the babies to be able to use them as they grow up too. What 'theme' should we use that will grow with them?

dick and jane

Kids themes change almost as quickly as we change their clothes sizes LOL. Maybe stick with color schemes, and make the quilts toddler bed sized?
