well maybe the next one should be for her lol

smcfadden 09-16-2011 10:25 AM

My cats just LAY on my quilts in progress. I hadn't thought of getting them their own quilting jungle gym!

BARES 09-16-2011 10:27 AM

Gee mom, Thanks for the exercise equiptment and the bands to go with it! You're the BEST! See how much activity there is in one of these? And just think of the entertainment value. You won't have to rent movies anymore.

JanieH 09-16-2011 11:11 AM

Does this mean she doesn't get the job as quilt assistant?

What beautiful cats! And great pictures!

dasmith2 09-16-2011 11:24 AM

My cat did the same thing after I methodically organized strips for a bargello. She also likes to help iron, cut and sew. But once the quilts are done, she wants nothing to do with them..

Dangling things! Yes, kitties like dangley things. I have a friend who tells the story of her husband getting "FRISKY" after his shower and doing a bit of a "naked" dance to entice her to the bedroom. They were enjoying their activity when all of a sudden DH baled off the bed with their kitten flying through the air...apparently the kitten couldn't resist the "DANGLING" things and pounced from below...my friend said the mood was immediately spoiled while she laughed hysterically and her husband dabbed at the blood dripping off his dangly things!
True story!

OMG! Poor guy! That is one playful kitten.

denise8556 09-16-2011 12:04 PM

There is no such thing as a bad kitty. At least that is how my kitty explained it to me.

No sewing room is complete without a kitty helper! Cute kitty! I love it when I am trying to quilt and can't get the quilt sandwich to move because one of my helpers has made his bed on the part that is behind the machine. Gotta love 'em!

twixbar 09-16-2011 02:18 PM

quilt3311 09-16-2011 04:46 PM

Oh that made me laugh so hard---you see I have a kitty that could be a twin to yours. AND she delights in playing in my fabric pieces. If I had strips on a stand like that she would be doing just what yours is, as she is a total acrobat. Can get into some of the most weird positions. Even found her on the top shelf of the closet one day, the door had been left ajar and she slipped in. Was fun getting her down too as she decided she had forgotten how she got up there and was complaining.
I hope you get your strips all sorted again.

I had a kitten I had to shut out of my sewing room, he was a thief! Stole my pincushion, scattering pins all over. Dragged out my sandals once, they were as big as he was. I worried about him swallowing a pin or a needle. He got hit by a car, wish he was back now!

Gini 09-16-2011 05:08 PM

BUT MoM Kitty's need to have fun too!

judord 09-16-2011 07:39 PM

Pins n' Ndls 09-16-2011 07:43 PM

judord 09-16-2011 08:18 PM

So is yours! What a cool picture.

RobertaMarie 09-16-2011 08:24 PM

Love the kitties and the story. Thanks. I have a couple who love to sleep on whatever I am working on at any given time.

lisajane 09-17-2011 05:38 AM

Why you teasing that kitty for? Put all those slappable strips in front of her and not expect her to smack them? Bad mommy! LOL

rosiewell 09-17-2011 07:30 AM

How can you be mad at her, she provides such a great entertainement!

BuzzinBumble 09-17-2011 12:34 PM

What a crazy cat! The looks of delight and slight unease on your children's faces is just too precious! Your bad kitty keeps you well entertained!

I know what you mean. My kitten does that type of thing all the time I am trying to sew a quilt. Now it is summer and she is outside more I have a better chance of completing a quilt. Thanks for the good laugh it gave me....SORRY but is funny in a good and bad way. Thanks Kas.

BarbaraSue 09-19-2011 06:00 AM

looks like you have my old cat, Chuckie. He would have been underneath it taking all the strips off. Cute pics. thanks

sueisallaboutquilts 09-21-2011 05:40 AM

I just showed these pics to my husband, another cat lover, and he howled with laughter!! :D

I think the bed will be it for tonight any way. Thanks for all your good wishes for her recovery.
