Kristen,
I know there are lots of people who make money off of their quilting frames. You will just need to practice.

Have you checked Craigslist within a reasonable driving distance to see if someone is selling a frame? You can save a bit of money by getting a frame used. I wish I had known about that before I bought mine lol. I would have saved quite a bit of cash ;)

If you find one that you can drive to get to, you can always sell the machine it came with - assuming it is a combo type of a deal.

I did check Craigslist yesterday and found a Grace CMQ Pro but they were asking just as much as one from the dealer. . . They said that it had never been used BUT I think they forgot that once you 'drive it off the dealers lot' it's used.

I don't typically quilt for profit, I have quilted only a few for money. I have made less than $500 using my longarm. Mainly I quilt for charities and family/friends. I already have a job and intend to keep quilting as my stress reducing hobby.

Okay I talked to my husband after getting your opinions about the Bailey, then I checked out the Grace GQW Pro with a Juki and decided that I would purchase the Bailey 17 inch. I am so excited I will order it tomorrow and it should be here in about 15 -20 days!!!

Yaaay!!! I am excited for you! I have looked at it, but I might have to wait until my 2 children are out of college. 4 more years!

Yippeeeeeeeeee!!!!!!!! Congrats. The waiting drove me CRAZY, I just kept stalking the UPS man until finally, a delivery for me. I'm not sure but I think the delivery man was more excited than I was, hahaha. Now you can work on completing tops so your ready to quilt.
