2 Attachment(s)
Some of you were following the progress on my bali star wedding quilt! Well, you will be happy to know I am all done, except the border.
I'm waffling between red and black ... ideas? Here's the 99% done product! I'm pretty happy with it! |
Gorgeous! I'd like to see the red, and then go with predominantly black pillows. But that's just me :)
Either way, you can't lose. It will be perfect either way! |
WOW! Absolutely beautiful quilt. You did a fantastic job on it. No idea on border but I think you will make a great decision either way. Whatever you chose will make a great finish.
There will be no pillows on my bed LOL ... they are hidden under the quilt ... It's bad enough my long-haired cat sleeps on my bed, and quilt) I don't need white fur on my pillows!
I vote dark red. Your quilt is gorgeous.
Beautiful......
Stunning, what a treasure. You seem to get through it quick.
Oh thanks so much for showing us the "nearly" finished product. I would love to see it with red on the sides.
What a gorgeous quilt.
This is absolutely gorgeous!!!
I have been following your progress and I have to say you have created a masterpiece in a very small amount of time. The quilt is absolutely stunning. I think both colours would make a great border.
Hugs Caroline |
WOW! Beautiful.
I would do a double border, inside black (1 to 4 inch), outside red (twice the black). Or vice-versa. |
Double border. Narrow red and wider black. Love your quilt.
I am sure you will make the right border decision for you. For me, it would be red.
Absolutely gorgeous.
I was going to suggest the double border as well!! narrow black then wider red.
your quilt is just gorgeous - really something to be proud of |
Stunning! I vote red!
Wowee!!! You did a fabulous job on this quilt. Either border would look great - I am wondering how you plan to quilt it? It is just beautiful ~smile~

Unbelievable! Gorgeous quilt
Absolutely stupendous!!! Thanks for the wonderful inspiration!
Oh my, that is awesome! It takes my breath away!!
Wow quilt.
For border, i was going to suggest a narrow red, very thin white, and then a wider black border |
Extraordinary! Congratulations on an exceptional quilt!
Finally done, now you'll make me one, right? LOL. Very well done, beautiful quilt.
Oh my its absolutely gorgeous. As for the border I personally would go with red.
That a truly jaw dropping quilt. I would suggest a red border with a black binding. The happy couple is going to be so thrilled to receive that quilt.
My vote for the border is red, or red with a narrow black inner border, but predominately red.

Oh! Oh! Your quilt has just made me add this quilt to my TO DO list. I have never been interested in doing this quilt, but yours is so beautiful that now I have to.
Very pretty. I think I'd try a charcoal grey since there's so much red. It will be beautiful either way.
Gorgeous quilt! I think the red would look awesome for the border
I think red also. That is a fantastic quilt!
Congratulations on finishing the top! It is a huge accomplishment and you should be proud! If it had been me, I wouldn't have managed beyond two rings---maybe! It is stunning and I know whatever color you choose for the borders will be a hit and frame it lovely.
that is so pretty!!
Yours is gorgeous. I have the pattern, templates etc, just not the stamina at this point. LOL Maybe you will be my inspiration.
I vote red borders, and a million congratulations - it's fabulous! I'm so impressed by how quickly you got it together, as well as by its beauty.
It turned out wonderful. Amazing job.
It is beautiful!! Not all quilts need a border. Bind with red to showcase the red.
beautiful quilt. Either border will look great. Love, love, love that quilt. Maybe someday. I made a double wedding ring once, and I'm not ready to tackle something like that again. Maybe in a year or two.

I would border it with the background fabric!
