I also think they are both quite striking but if I must choose then my vote goes to (drum roll please) #1. Good luck with your decision.

I vote for #2 the eye goes to the center of the quilt they are both very nice

Number one, it reminds me of a butterfly in flight, wings moving. Beautiful!

Depending on who you are making it for. I like number 1. When it first came up it reminded me of a butterfly.

I prefer two for the eye effect

#1 for the same reason as Lizzy- It's not "typical"
