I use Retayne on all my batiks... for small pieces I use a stainless pan on top of the stove. ( Retayne requires water above 140 degrees). Do note once retayne has been used all subsiquent washes must be in COLD water.

Thanks everyone for the info - I've never used Retayne but have read about it on the board. Time to start testing fabrics...
