What a gorgeous quilt, love the colors.

Oh that is tough because Batiks are so versatile in color. I would go with purple, pink and aqua or lime. I also love the browns and orange. I am about to start a quilt using batiks and I can hardly wait for the class. It is called Circle Pizzaz with Judy Sisneros.

WTxRed: Love your quilt! I don't recognize the pattern and was it difficult to make?

Your color selection is fabulous!

Brights....I love brights....probably oranges and pinks!

I am into yellow, turquoise and orange right now. All hues-I am in the process of embroidering my dining room curtains in these colors with a retro design. For the dining room, I'm using a coral, pale yellow and aqua. The colors look so good together.

Love those fall colors -

I absolutely love to use purple green and blue colors for quilts. I use other colors that compliment the recipient but I am most happy using purples blues and greens. but it also depends on the shade and tone of the colors.

I like the browns and turquoes

I don't think you can go wrong as long as the batiks complement each other. This is a baby girl quilt I did this year.

Me - I agree with the folks that said blue, green, yellow. Love that combination in any fabric.

Thank you! The quilt pattern is Radiant - got it online from cozy quilts (just google that).
No it was not difficult - i laid it out on a bed to make sure i had my pieces in the right places before i started sewing.
Sewed up pretty quick too!

Jewel tones plus black and gray- really, I use everything, and need some pastels for contrast!

I like bright, so I would probably use purple, yellow, and red or teal.

I think blue and green would be my choices. Although I love red and black too. Let us know what you pick!

Me too! Me too! LOL

Just used teals, purples and blues, made a good combination.

Annaquilts 07-20-2012 03:55 AM

Jewel tone too for me especially purple, green and yellow.

lovelyl 07-20-2012 05:05 AM

Darker green, burgandy, cream.

Sewbeeit2 07-20-2012 08:31 AM

Just finished a purple and sage green with lavender sampler. It was a
great combo to match my friends living room with her sage green walls

For me, if I were limited to 3, they would be purple, blue and green also. Fortunately, I don't have to deal with that limitation. I am currently working on a batik braid. I cut a WOF strip from almost every batik in my stash and cut them into half hexagon pieces, as I saw on Fons and Porter the other day. I'll post a picture in a few days.

Greens, blues, purples and non color black
