Bees wax is awesome when working with beads for necklaces and what ever you have thread, light cords etc. A Must

Had no idea Joann's has it. Great to use coupon if there's nothing else we want.

No never heard of it for threading needles. Will have to try it tho!

I must be the Grinch here. I don't like bees wax. I think it makes the thread gummy and the thread grabs and is more difficult to pull through the fabric. What I do instead is take a little piece of a fabric softener sheet and drag the thread through that. Makes the thread go through the fabric slick as a whistle!. Just don't put the needle through the fabric softener sheet, it will be so slick you can't hold on to it.

Have some from long ago. Will have to get it out and use again.

I take my Thread Heaven out of the blue box and use it like that. It lasts longer and works better. I love the bees wax better it makes the thread smoother.

One thing that helps if you have trouble......the proper way to thread a needle is to always thread the beginning of the thread...the cut end should always be the knot end. This is the way thread is twisted for proper sewing.
(I hope this is clear to you as it is to me : )

8-) 8-) :-D

I use it all the time with handquilting. It is great!

I was like you and didn't understand it's purpose, now I love it. Can't hand sew without it.
