I have one for each of my machines and they are well worth the money.

I bought one recently and don't know how I lived without it.

Okay the only one I am finding at Walmart is $45.00. Here is the link to it, is this the one you are talking about, if so that is way to much to spend when you can find something else less expensive.

It's not magnetic, there are tiny sticky-backed brackets to hold the wire (cord) and the back of the light is sticky.

I was hoping I wasn't the only one having problems with the lamp slipping down when using the machine "vigorously". But I agree, I love it anyway...enough that I just ordered a second one from the link one of the other ladies supplied.

I bought one for $40 through either Keepsake Quilting or Nancy's Notion's. ( I forget which.) It's metal and has a nice long moveable, bendable arm to adjust it where ever you want to light up your direct sewing area. It has a wonderful mounting bracket to place it on the side of the machine and little clips to attach the cord to the back of the machine, so it's not hanging in your project. I LOVE IT!!!! It helps me see so much better as it is very nice and bright. Just bought a new machine so I ordered a second mounting bracket for it. The only thing I wish was different is the bendable arm is not quite as tight as I would like it to be. The motion of the machine causes the light to kind of slide down after awhile and you have to pull it back up to light up your needle area. But that aside. . . I STILL LOVE IT!! And would buy it again in a heart beat. I'd post a picture of mine, but right now it's on my old machine and I lent it to my friend's 10 year old daughter to practice with as I am teaching her to quilt and I didn't take the light off before I gave her the machine. But I Give it and A!!!

I have one that I use on my older machine. It really helps to see, especially on dark colors. I did pay $40 for it, but I think it is overpriced.

I have the little light that attaches and it is WONDERFUL !!! I wouldn't be without it !! Really, really helps.... esp. with dark fabrics........ it truly is amazing the difference it makes. And you can shine it directly on the foot itself... such a help! Buy it and don't look back !!
