I use only Bernina bobbins in my machine, too.

My Bernina has large bobbins, so I can't use anything but Bernina bobbins. They are brown and white. Anyone else has these bobbins?
|
I like the Bernina bobbins the best. I like the diamond cut center texture. I think they are pretty. I also only use the gold colored bobbins in my Jamone Jem Gold for the reason they are gold. That's just me.

I use only Bernina bobbins in both of my Berninas. I just don't want to take the risk of causing damage to my machines over something that could easily be prevented.

I too only use Bernina bobbins. There is a cost difference between the 200 and the 430 bobbins. The 430's are much less expensive. One dealer told me that some other brand feet will work on the Bernina's. She sold me one. The metal is far less superior than Bernina brand. The metal was so thin and cheap feeling. I love my Bernina's. I have 5 of them. But then again, I have 20 machines.

My Bernina may be old and worn (a 1030) but she is still my baby and she gets the quality bobbin from Bernina...
I mistakenly used one of my Singer class 15 bobbins in her once and my stitching wasn't off...but the bobbin seemed to rattle in the case a bit. |
It wouldn't be worth it use generic bobbins in my expensive Bernina -- not going to take a chance for a couple of bucks!
