I only use Bernina bobbins. I don't want to have any expensive repairs.

I ordered my bobbins for my 1530 from an ebay seller because sometimes I can't afford the prices at the local Bernina dealer. I haven't had any problems with my bobbins from ebay.

All the sewers who say they only use Bernina bobbins are doing it
the right way ,My son is our local "Bernina Man " and has been for 26 years
and when I got y first Bernina machine he said his only rule to me was
"Mom only use Berninas bobbins and needles " and you wont have problems
with your machine , and he is right I have had my 830 for 4 years now and
it has been into the shop twice...when it comes p or its service .Think about it would
you put Ford parts into you BMW car you have paid good money for , to me my machine are
worth a much. Cathy

I've got two Bernina's an original 830 & a brand new QE 550 & honestly I would not use anything but a Bernina bobbin in both. The machines are just too expensive to take the chance and bobbins aren't AS expensive.

I'm definitely brand loyal when it comes to my Bernina...Bernina bobbins, Bernina feet, and Bernina service.

Only Bernina bobbins will fit in my 730 Artista. My old 930 takes a regular size bobbin, but I was sent 40 bobbins for it from a dealer. I ordered the bobbins for my 730 and they sent the ones that fit the 930. I was going to send the wrong ones back but they asked me if I had a machine they would fit and if so keep, them and they would send the correct ones. Needless to say I buy things I need for my machines from them. The nearest Bernina dealer is on the other side of Mobile from me over an hour away. Postage is cheaper. I do take my machines to the "local" dealer for check ups. We were military so the dealer I bought from was near a different duty station.

At the Bernina booth at Paducah quilt show I was told the best needles were Organ needles. I use Superior Titanium coated top stitch needles in all my machines but the vintage Singers. They are made by Organ.

One thing I say for Bernina owners is that they are loyal!

I bought another person a Bernina mechanical machine and the person who was using it had about 5 bobbins he included with it and they were exactly the same size as the ones I use on my Janomes--and all were a bit different--metal, plastic, etc .

So, in that case, I would not be brand loyal and use only Bernina bobbins--but then I gave that machine away to my friend. She uses what she has. People in Poland are a bit less picky about such things.

But I bet Bernina loves you all! :)
