Bernina 770 Qe Thread break sensor
Hi. I accidentally started sewing with my needle in the wrong position and it hit the foot. Machine made an awful sound and the needle broke of course. So now my machine is acting up. Mostly the thread sensor keeps activating but the thread is not broken. Do you think something got out of alignment when I broke the needle??

quite possible but i would turn mach off for a few an see if it resets and heals itself

First of all, I don't have the 770, but do have the 820.
What I have found is that the error code/pictures don't always align with the problem that is referenced in the manual. Annoying, but it is the truth! Agree with Mermaid ... turn the machine off, and see if the machine resets and all is seemingly good again. That being said, it can do damage to the machine, specifically the timing. Hopefully not! So for the next while just be aware of how your machine is working. Good Luck! |

To correct ....... What I have found is that the error code/pictures and problems referenced in the manual do not always align with what really is the problem. Yes, there is usually a problem, but the problem can be totally different than what you are led to believe. Another thought ... if you are getting error codes and there is nothing wrong, it could be that one of the computer boards in the machine are going and will need to be replaced. Good Luck!! |
