Honestly - I think auto headliner is the best batting for purses or handbags. You can get it at Hancocks or Joanns. It is lightweight, quilts up beautifully, stands on its own and yet is soft to the touch.
While searching I came across this helpful information: http://cadouri-din-inima.blogspot.co...-for-bags.html |

Is that the name it is called auto headliner ? Who makes it? I would like to stop in Joanns or Hancocks this week and pick some up to try. I couldn't find it listed by that name, Thanks for any help if it's call a different name too.
While searching I came across this helpful information: http://cadouri-din-inima.blogspot.co...-for-bags.html It is called headliner or automotive headliner. At the Hancock's that I work at, it is with the large rolls of vinyls. If you just ask one of the sales associates, they will be able to direct you to it. FYI: I took a Vera Bradley Coin Purse apart one time to use as a pattern to make another one and there was something VERY SIMILAR to the headliner in it!!! |

http://www.hancockfabrics.com/Automo...7VVviewcat.htm Auntpiggy is correct, it is usually located near the Home Dec section next to the vinyl 54" wide fabrics. If you sit in your car and look at the ceiling, you will be looking at the headliner fabric. |
Thank you both, Auntpiggylpn and Peckish!
