Great story. The couple must have thought the quilt was so special, that they wanted it to be a part of the ceremony, how wonderful! you should be very proud! as everyone else on here, I'd love to see a picture as well, it sounds very pretty! Dee

What a 'warm beginning' to this new couple.

That was probably the best compliment anyone could ever hope to have from a quilt that was gifted. And I know that they will always cherish it no matter how you felt about the quilting. Remember God is the only one that is perfect!

I have a slightly similar story to tell. A dear friend of mine, Virginia, contacted lung cancer. Since she was always cold I used some crumb blocks I had made and made a throw for her. She loved it and spent a lot of time talking about all the tiny pieces. She took it with her when she went for her treatments and showed it to the doctors and nurses. Alas, the treatments did not work, and she died. When I went to her funeral, I saw her quilt displayed among the floral arrangements. Her daughter told me how Virginia had prized her quilt.
