Yep that happened to me before. I demagnetized them. I put the scissors in my Sonic toothbrush charger base while plugged in, took them out and no more magnetic scissors. This will work for small tools.

I have mag pin holders...this one looks cool. May have to find and add to collection........I don't put my trimming small scissors on the mag. I have these tied to a ribbon loop and that hangs from cord of machine...so when I need I just reach down and pull up on ribbon....this way they never fall to the floor

Maybe someone else knows the answer, but I never keep my magnetic pin holder near my machine.
Too expensive a mistake to make!

I was told by dealers that the machines now have the computer parts shielded from damage from magnetic or other waves. I wouldn't hold a strong magnet to the body of my machine but having a pin holder next to it I have no fear.

I had a magnetic pin holder for my wrist. It stopped my watch and I thought I had a ton of time to quilt! LOL

This is so neat. I have a magnetic bowl but the pins go every which way and I still get pricked.

I was warned of this as well. But it sure is a cool pin cushion and pins.

According to my Bernina dealer you don't have to worry about magnets around a Bernina machine.
