If buying backing from the inexpensive places... please be forewarned that the fabric can be wrapped VERY crookedly on the bolts. Best to buy 1/3 yard extra just so that you get what you initially needed!

I ordered a couple of those inexpensive ones for the store and was horrified to find out how crooked they were. They were cheap, and I got what I paid for. I'll never order them again.

(I told the staff to give our customers an extra 1/3 yard on each cut, to be fair. It's not safe to assume that all other stores would do the same!)

Just be careful...

The sale at Cotton Loft included some 108 backing fabric for $4.75 a yard. Shipping is a little slow due to volume of orders though!.

I like fabric.com. Their prices are decent to begin with (especially if you spend the $35 minimum to get free shipping), but they always have coupon codes you can use to get a percentage off your order. :)
