It does sound like a fantastic idea! I too would be concerned about the pipes getting clogged. They are very sensitive here. Since I don't do a lot of PP I might be ok.

no...printer paper is usually pretty decent paper....which means it is hard to tear off so I don't use it for paper piecing. I use phone book pages (yep...I have a vintage stack of them") or else paper that is of poorer quality like that off white paper you get in kid's drawing pads. I do also have some official paper piecing paper....but that is expensive....but...if I am printing a paper piecing pattern, I use that. Oh....and I have something called something like "stich and ditch" It is a light weight paper that comes on a roll and tears really easily. I used to use when I did those fancy stitches some of our machines have. It stabilized the fabric and prevented puckering but tore off easily after.

Needle threading tip
 
I recently discovered a way to make threading a tiny "between" needle easier when hand quilting. I wax the very end of the thread with beeswax. Therefore the thread end doesn't split and goes through the eye of the needle very nicely!
