Great idea!

SueSew 06-08-2011 02:42 AM

That's a great idea! I usually end up with the bulk of the quilt over my shoulder and the binding wound around a piece of cardboard and falling out of my lap. WOW THANKS!

Thats a great idea, thanks for sharing.

SuzanneG 06-08-2011 03:55 AM

Well, I think you're a clever girl! This is a great idea for our small to medium sized quilting projects (even some larger ones really since binding isn't all that heavy even for a larger project, though it does get bulky) and for those concerned about voiding warrenties, not a problem if you don't overload the "binding spool" with binding. I think common sense comes into play here and since most of us are pretty smart cookies, I don't see this being a problem for very many of us! :D :D

eparys 06-08-2011 03:58 AM

Great idea - I always "throw it over" my shoulder - then I run over it with my wheeled chair (lol).

I have to agree with you!!! I don't understand how it could void your warranty.

judykay 06-08-2011 05:52 AM

Fantastic idea, thank you so much for sharing. I will have to try this the next time I do binding as I am one of them who has it pooled on my lap in a tangled mess.

THANKS>>>
