Thanks Johanna, will try that next time I do binding.

Thanks so much for sharing. I have always dreaded doing the bindings because I always have trouble keeping the binding out of my way while still trying to get it on so this is a must try idea for me. Again thanks so much for making my work a little easier.
Thanks for the wonderful idea. Maybe you should take a patent out on that.
I did this a week or so ago, but just made a nice roll for the batting and put it on the extra spool spindle. It worked fine. I talked to a friend and she gave me soem old, very large wooden spools to try next time.
Thanks ... what a great idea!
Good hint .. will remember it when I use bias tape.
My 1¼" binding is usually 7 yards long, so it wouldn't bit on this pill bottle, so I wind it around my hand and keep the roll on the top of my quilt. |
Thanks need all the help i can get
Great idea. Thanks.

Thanks, Johanna, for taking the time to post this helpful hint! :) It sure beats the heck out of draping it across my shoulders and having it go all over the place (including onto the floor) while my hands are busy elsewhere!
Nice Idea.

What a great idea, if you have a machine with an extra spool holder that is located on the front of your machine. Mine is on the top of my machine so this would not work for me. Any ideas for those of us who have this problem?
