When is every one birthday? That way we can wish every one Happy Birthday....

Mine is 7/11

Now it is your turn..

ButtercreamCakeArtist 03-11-2007 07:49 PM

My Bday was 24 Feb. when I got to go to JoAnn's and WM and got my PED Basic for downloading embroidery for my SE270D......That was also the day I got to travel over an hour to save $ on bloodwork at a Healthfair because we have no insurance and I have sevral things anyone getting into their 40's could ever hope to avoid (and I've only started my 20's). The bandage (tape, really) pulled off a bunch of skin and made a nasty-looking hicky-type place on my elbow. I was sick as a dog to begin with with a sinus inf. bad enuf. to kill a horse and a virus (so they told me) bad enough to be called the worst sore throat I've ever experienced in my life, so I didn't eat or swallow anything! for days that couldn't be helped. and what couldn't be helped about tore my tonsils out. And we were getting ready to go into Sam's when my nosebleed started.....and I couldn't taste or smell .....and it was good that Sam's was giving out so many wonderful samples to taste. Then we went to eat at Ruby Tuesday's. I couldn't tell you if what i ate was rotten or good, but I ate it, although it basically brought tears to my eyes to think of swallowing.....
OH, wait!....this was a positive thread! I'm sorry I cannot answer a simple question. I need to get out more! I really nver talk to anyone buy you all! sorry! thanks for listening , though!

My birthday is 24 FEb. I was born on one of my Mom's sister's bday, and my sister (sil)'s little sister's bday!

and then I looked at this post after it was posted, and there were those puppies again as my avatar! I already posted a thread on this. they are coming back. I did NOT change this! WHY? is this going on?

Happy post Birthday Kathy. And don't feel bad I am no longer feeling the 50 some thing's......Misty

janiecurry 03-14-2007 12:12 AM

hey Misty and everyone...
My birthday is coming up, it's March 24th and I will now be 55. Someone told me that now they will serve me free coffee at McDonalds...now there is a reason to get older....my feeling about birthdays is that I like to celebrate them to the fullest. My hair is now almost completely gray(white in places and dark brown in places) and I just figure that there is no need to hide our ages...we lived everyone of those years to their fullest and that is my current plan for the next 55....so I never lie about my age....
BTW, my two best buds are taking me on a road trip that weekend that will include the beautiful Oregon coastline and hopefully at least a dozen quilt shops...wish I could take every single one of you with me....Happy late birthday Kathy....xoxo, Janie

kathy 03-14-2007 02:48 AM

oh Janie, you lucky, lucky girl. I hope someone drops a few bills on you so you can have a lot of fun in those shops. Have a wornderful day.EVERYDAY

My birthday is August 21st. Last year, myself and 2 friends drove south of Raleigh to a little town called Selma that has gone from a sleepy farming town to an antique mecca. The quilt shop there is bette than what we have in Raleigh, much friendlier people. We spent the day buying over $200.00 of fabric for a quilt for our church to commmemorate the 25th year anniversary of its establishment as a parish. We didn't have the slightest idea of what we were doing, but the lady at the shop spent close to 3 hours helping us pick out fabric. I'll post pictures soon, because we are in the final stages of assembling it. We will have someone else machine quilt it and it will hang in the parish hall.
The center block is around 42 x 36 and it is surrounded by smaller blocks pertaining to the church, like St Francis of Assisi and St Claire, the prayer of St FRancis, etc. Teh cente block depicts the church building.

I won't hit the magic 62 for 2 1/2 more years--good luck at the dr and an early Happy Birthday!

Becky 03-14-2007 06:35 AM

Kathy

My B'day was yesterday, 3-13-? won't give the year, But I promise I'm in the 50's and really proud to say I'm going strong and full of life. I just move alittle slower and I can still bend, but it's harder to get up and down when I'm digging in the dirt or laying out a quilt top. But my spirit is somewhere in my 20's. The Lord has been kind to me.

vicki reno 03-14-2007 06:47 AM

Happy Birthday! I know how you feel or can imagine! I am 59 and can attest to the same things, a little slower, but not down yet

patricej 03-14-2007 06:57 AM

Yvonne 03-14-2007 07:28 AM

I think the title here should be titled, "Confessions!" Confess how old you are!!

Well, I'm 61, Feb. b-day, and proud of it. I'm a leading edge baby boomer. Child of the 60s! Whoo-oo! Though I was such a prude I didn't have any of the fun! Just fun of a different sort.

I was a elementary teacher for over 31 years. I retired at 55. Decided it was time to allow a younger teacher to take over my position. It's hard keeping up with all those 6 year olds.

Happy Birthday, one and all!

vicki reno 03-14-2007 07:42 AM

Happy B-Day toyou too :!:

ceannastahr 03-14-2007 09:57 AM

Happy belated birthday to all since Jan.

President Kennedy was assinated on my 14 th birthday. For those who aren't history buffs Nov 22

I ruined my mothers first Thanksgiving Dinner for her inlaws. She was taking basting the turkey then 1 hour later I was here. Maybe thats why she always called me a little turkey lol

I'm luckly like my 84 yr old Dad still no grey hairs I figure they'll catch up sooner or later and I'll deserve every one of them.

The 9 grandkids keep me young at heart. I too am slower and when I'm squating or bending I sometimes think I won't get up.

Hope everybodys birthday is a great one whenever it is.

vicki reno 03-14-2007 10:13 AM

That's not old! I was in high school then so that makes me older than you. But I have only 3 gk . No 2 son hasn't got started yet, Maybe he needs to know about the birds and the bees? Or maybe he's smarter than his ole Ma and knows how to plan his life out better than me

ceannastahr 03-14-2007 10:19 AM

Some day feel older then hills. My son only has one but my oldest have told her over and over what cause this problem but I guss she doen't understand she has 6 and the younger daughter has 2

vicki reno 03-14-2007 10:40 AM

lol - hope you had a faboo birthday Kathy! My b'day is June 7...when I turned 50 in '05, my girlfriends threw me a birthday shower since I've never had one (single, no kids)!! They made me register for gifts, etc. I still have the red-sequined baseball cap I had to wear for the whole party!! LOL We played party games & everything. They even made up a sort of bingo game, using different things having to do with my life. It was a blast!
I think we should ALWAYS celebrate!
This May we're throwing a big party for my Dad - the BIG NINE-OH!!! :-D
My 2 sisters are 9 & 13 years older than me - - I was the surprise in our family! I have a niece only 7 yrs younger - and she has 2 sons, ages 8 & 18!! I also have 2 nephews, one with 1 daugher, the other has 1 son & 1 daughter. At home, I am allowed to share space with one cat & piles of fabric & books! lol

i've fallen behind on some of my reading and just now read Patrice's "confession" i don't have all the facts yet but i have some suspicions (sp) that she's holding something back (LIKE A FEW YEARS MAYBE!) I'll investigate further before i make my final decision.

vicki reno 03-17-2007 09:33 AM

Kathy, why is she being so secretive? Gee you think she wasn't exactly truthful when she stated her age? Hmmmm I wonder if a rubber hose would get any more out of her or if we go down to GA and raid her stash or threaten to unless she fesses up. Probably do more good than the rubber how :!: :-o

kathy 03-17-2007 10:26 AM

yeah, like the rabbit that begged NOT be thrown into the briar patch! if she thinks we're gonna get her stash i bet she'll give up any information we want.
